We consider ourselves a boutique franchise system where the focus is on creating a smaller number of successful franchisees as opposed to diluting markets and oversaturating territories.
Our founder, Parry, comes from a background that includes over a decade of experience as a franchisor. From sales, marketing, operations, information technology and leadership acting as President & CEO, Parry takes a family approach to franchising and has a track record of building successful franchise brands.
Our Selection Process
Our franchisee selection process will focus on a combination of factors that include, but are not limited to: existing experience as a business owner, type of corporate experience, liquid capital, ability to secure financing, location interest, ability to open multiple units and willingness to learn.

Marketing & Operations
Understanding and mastering operational and marketing intricacies cannot be accomplished in a two week training period. Mastery takes daily, weekly and monthly support from an experienced team to put franchisees in a position to be successful. Our systemic approach to franchise support with marketing and operations will make you feel like you have a business partner with on demand support.
Training
Never made gelato before or owned a business? No problem - we're going to teach you how to make gelato from scratch. Franchises exist to help train new business owners on how to own and operate our established business model. We'll provide you with two weeks of initial training and ongoing support through the entire process of your business ownership.
Product Development
The Nani's Gelato brand is known for gelato innovation and consistently creating and rotating in new products. Our head office team will collaborate with franchisees on new product development and requests, but we are heavily focused on developing innovative products for our franchisees that keeps our brand on the cutting edge of the gelato and frozen dessert industry.
Our Brand & Your Business
A principle of a successful franchise system is the understanding that we are providing franchisees with an established brand, but the day to day business operation is the responsibility of franchisees. Although we have brand expectations that must continually be adhered to and followed, a franchisor is not responsible for day to day business operations; we support and facilitate the growth of your business.
Startup Costs & Fees
Although costs may fluctuate and all costing information will be accurately reflected in our franchise disclosure document, please see an outline of costs and ongoing fees.
Our initial franchise fee is $30,000.00 + applicable taxes.
Our monthly royalties are 6% and monthly national advertising fees are 2%. Both are calculated based on gross monthly revenues.
Opening expenses for equipment and leasehold have a wide range of $250,000.00 to $450,000.00. More details of the costing are presented in our franchise disclosure document, but the range is dependent on the size of location selected and the existing state of the space.
